Formally trained in the arts at Trinity University and The University of Denver, Dorothy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. Long before photographing professionally, she photographed for fun. Dorothy believes portraits should show your personality. They should possess your own character and allow it to shine. In her words, “I look for the moments of interaction between you and your heartstrings when you are least aware of the camera. The best portraits are those you never tire of looking at and those that soften or stir your heart each time you look at them”.

You have such a big heart to put into the things you do. I am convinced your heart would hold the state of Texas! - Wayne

Every family and every photography session is treated with originality and tailored to reflect who you are and your desires. No two sessions are the same. The relationship in your family and in your portrait will be reflected by the relationship you feel with your photographer. Just as life is about relationships, so is great photography. While every photographer owns the cameras and tools of the trade, artistry reaches beyond the equipment and embraces the talent.

Photographing for over 10 years, Dorothy’s work has brought her into the homes of many Texas families, as well as families throughout the United States, placed her before a President of the United States, and in commercial shoots for notables such as Manu Ginobili and country stars Tracy Lawrence, Radney Foster, Bo Porter and others. Her outgoing and caring personality has opened many doors for her and led her in directions she feels fortunate to have followed. Extensive travel includes climbing and photographing Kilimanjaro and much of the Colorado Rockies. Dorothy has donated her talents to organizations that include KLRN, Triple H Equitherapy, The Humane Society, Special Olympics, Leathernecks, Wounded Warriors, and many schools and churches throughout Central, and South Texas. She is proud of her work with Aurora Breast and Cancer Center, and has been published in several publications including SA Woman Magazine, Scene in SA, SA Kids, and The Recorder Times, as well as publications within  Colorado. Dorothy is also a published poet.

“Her greatest passions are God, family, and serving others. After spending just a few minutes with Dorothy you will feel as if you have known her a lifetime. With her, you will be relaxed and laugh. When you leave, not only will you have a friend for life, you will know your portraits will be handled with love and tender care.”
